Mykonos Town, Greece · Completed 2023
Lovia Hotel occupies a cluster of historic buildings in the labyrinthine streets of Mykonos Town — the iconic Chora — weaving together centuries of Cycladic architectural tradition with a thoroughly contemporary approach to comfort and hospitality. The project involved the careful restoration and sensitive extension of three existing structures, creating a seamlessly unified property of 32 rooms and suites around a series of intimate courtyard gardens.
The development brief called for a hotel that would feel as though it had always been part of the town fabric — not an imposition on the historic streetscape, but an organic evolution of it. Working closely with heritage consultants and the local planning authority, Eternity Development delivered a scheme that preserves the scale, massing, and material palette of traditional Mykonian architecture while introducing discreet contemporary interventions that meet the expectations of the most discerning international traveller.
A rooftop pool and bar offer views across the Kastro neighbourhood to the sea beyond. The ground-floor restaurant has become one of the most sought-after dining destinations on the island, drawing as many local diners as hotel guests and establishing Lovia as a genuine part of Mykonos cultural life.
